Small Domestic Appliances


Orders placed with Maxwells will normally be processed and dispatched within 48 working hours (dependent on the item ordered and delivery location). However, it is advisable to allow up to 10 working days for your order to be delivered especially during the Covid Pandemic, Christmas and other Bank Holidays.

When your order leaves our warehouse you will receive confirmation by email.

Delivery and tracking details from our courier will also be sent by SMS message if a mobile number has been supplied. All deliveries must be signed for. In some instances smaller items will be sent with Royal Mail, please allow 3-5 working days for these items to arrive.

Please be aware that in our endeavours to be as 'green' as possible, our warehouse team do sometimes re-use and recycle packaging. This means that your item(s) may arrive in an outer box showing a different brand/product, your item will be within all of its original manufacturer packaging within this outer box.

We do not deliver abroad or to the following postcode areas: AB, DD, FK, G, IV, KW, KY, PA, PH, HS, KA, ZE, BT, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Isles of Scilly, Channel Islands and Republic of Ireland.

Please note that we will pack and despatch products within our shop opening hours Monday to Friday. We are closed Bank Holidays.

Orders received within our opening hours will be processed accordingly:

  • Received by 11am - despatched same day subject to availability
  • Received after 11am - despatched next working day

Orders received outside of these hours will be processed on the first working day of opening. (i.e orders received on an evening; on a weekend or on a Bank Holiday will be processed next working day we are open). Our 1 day or 2 day delivery process starts from point of despatch.

Cancellations and Amendments

You have a right to cancel your order within 14 days after we have delivered your order.

If you wish to cancel or amend your order please email in to with your order number. Once we have received your email we will contact you to confirm the cancellation or arrange the changes.

Returns Policy

No Fault Returns

If you wish to return an unwanted item please contact us by emailing You may return products within 28 days and request a full refund. (In accordance with the terms below) Upon receipt of the purchases we will give you a full refund of the amount paid or an exchange credit as required.

Please provide your order number so that we can deal with your query as efficiently as possible. You must notify us within 14 working days of delivery of your order if you want to return an unwanted item and we will provide you with a Returns Authorisation number. All 'no fault returns' must be returned at the customers own cost.

Alternatively you can return an unwanted item to our shop in person. Due to current Covid restrictions you will need to book an appointment for this as there are strict Government Guidelines on handling returned items in the shop. Contact us on 01609 773535 to discuss and book your return. You will need your website order reference.

The Returned Product must be in their original packaging, as new and unused, and must include all parts, accessories and manuals. All sealed items must remain sealed.

Any purchases that have been used or are not in a re-saleable condition, or are not returned including original packaging will not be refunded.

Due to hygiene reasons, we cannot accept Vacuum Cleaners and Headphones back as no-fault returns if they have been switched on and used.

Damaged items

Please report any damages by email to as soon as possible after delivery. Please provide a photograph of the damage where possible. Please report all damages prior to use. On receiving your email we will be in touch with further information to resolve the problem.

Faulty items

We are only able to provide collection or reimbursement of postage costs for faulty products within 6 months from date of purchase.

We do not cover faults caused by accidental damage, neglect, misuse or normal wear and tear.

This Returns Policy does not affect your legal rights.

Any returned goods that we receive which are outside this returns policy will be defined as "in dispute", such in dispute items will not be refunded or exchanged. A reason for this will be provided. We are happy to re-ship such "in dispute" items back to you at a cost to yourself, otherwise they be destroyed within 91 calendar days from their receipt back to us.
